Just The Pen Foundation

JustThePen Foundation is a non-profit Literary Foundation which is committed to the development of literary works and support that seek to uplift, encourage and educate, utilizing written, spoken and theatrical poetry, prose and plays. It is the hope of the Foundation to reach young people in order to cultivate, shape and support their creativity through writing. I believe that writers hold an important and powerful key to engaging and drawing out the imagination and artistry of our young people who could otherwise be at risk for becoming distracted and impacted negatively by the current climate of our society. For me personally reading and writing saved my life and opened up a world beyond my neighborhood. It is our hope to introduce, share and create that same excitement with youth who express a love for reading and writing. At the JTP Foundation we have adapted the quote, “Words build nations, silence kills generations” And to that end we would like to ensure that we aide in the revitalization, preservation and encouragement necessary so that our Youth are actively engaged in reading and writing their stories.
